Claire Hanniffy

BSc. (Hons) Sports Rehabilitation & Athletic Therapy GSR, EFR, Yoga Teacher

Claire’s first interest in healing was in the form of a 2 year Holistic Health Studies course in 2005. Here, she learned the skills of massage, reflexology and the power of aromatherapy. Her keen interest in meditation first brought her to India in the summer of 2007. Her quest to learn more about the human body lead her to a BSc. in Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy in 2011. Through this she got first-hand experience in treating college level, county level and international level athletes. With this under her belt, she set her sights to the horizon..

Since this qualification, she has travelled the country and the world treating acrobats, circus performers, artists, musicians to name a few. She opened her clinic in January 2017 where she treats all levels of injury (musculoskeletal, neurological, congential, grief related, occupational and athletic) with a vast array of treatments.

She trained as an Aerial Yoga Instructor in 2012. With 10 years of yoga experience she furthered her knowledge of yoga, its philosophies and practices in 2018 when she completed her Satyananda Yoga Teacher Training. She continues her deepening yoga practice and also teaches classes around county Galway.

Her interest in Shamanism, the oldest medicine in the world, began around 2013. Her friend and teacher, Paul, led her to the sacred fires held in Renville Park, Oranmore. She trained in Shamanic Healing in 2016 and continues to train in this medicine. Claire uses her expansive knowledge on a one to one basis, in a group/ class/ or team setting to bring healing and rehabilitation to everyone.
